Sacred Relics Inherited from the Abbasids by the Ottoman Caliphs at Topkapi Palace, Istanbul

The first Ottoman cover for the holiest site on earth, the blessed Tomb of the Pride of Creation (S) in Medina tul-Munawwara, sent by Sultan Ahmet I in 1603. The Ottomans regarded Ilm al-Jafr, and Ilm al-Huruf as effective sacred sciences as is demonstrated here.

The cap of Uwais al-Qarni (rah), preserved by the Ottoman Caliphs since 1519 in the Topkapi Palace, Istanbul, Turkey.

A piece from the cap of the venerable Shaykh ‘Abd al-Qadir al-Jilani, from Baghdad, Iraq, preserved by the Ottoman Caliphs in Topkapi Palace, Turkey.
