Re: Teacher of Imam al-Mahdi, “Shia” Mahdi Invented, and Yazid is one of the twelve imams

006

Q. What is your position specifically regarding the following three posts from Naqshbandi-Haqqani websites:

The belief that Shaykh Nazim al-Qubrusi is the teacher of Imam al-Mahdi:

1. “…even Seyyidina Mahdi (alai) is a follower and a student of Moulana Sheik Nazim because without the channel of Moulana Sheikh Nazim the secret of the Quran which has been passed down from the Holy Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) to Abu Bakr as Siddique (Ral), and from him right down the Golden chain of Succession of the Naqshbandi Tariqat to Moulana Sheikh Nazim, cannot enter into the heart of Seyyidina Mahdi (alai). Moulana Sheikh Nazim is going to teach Seyyidina Mahdi (alai) the knowledge of the Secret of the Quran. In this respect Seyyidina Mahdi (alai) is student of Moulana Sheikh Nazim. Moulana Sheikh Nazim is the key of the Secret of the Quran and he is the one who is going to plant this secret in the hearts of people.” (http://www.sheiknazim2.com/haqiqat.html)

The belief that the twelfth imam is invented:

2. “Sheykh Abdul Kerim Effendi is not the prophecised Mahdi…The real prophecised Mahdi is the one who will come to give power back to the sincere group of Ahlus Sunnah wal Jamaah. The shia Mahdi is invented”

Q. Brother Nureddin, I have just one question. Is it Sheik Effendi’s opinion that the Mehdi of the Shia’s in invented? Or is this your opinion. This is a sincere question.

A. It is both Maulana’s and Sheykh Effendi’s (Abdul Kerim) knowledge on this. http://www.yursil.com/blog/2010/05/viziers-of-imam-mahdi-as-sheykh-al-akbar-mohiddin-ibn-arabi/

The belief that Yazid bin Mu’awiya is one of the twelve imams mentioned in the narration of Jabir bin Samura found in Sahih al-Bukhari:

3. Question: As salamu alaykum, please could you give the Ahlus Sunnah interpretation of this hadith jazakallah khair.: I heard the Prophet saying, “There will be twelve Muslim rulers (who will rule all the Islamic world).” He then said a sentence which I did not hear. My father said, “All of them (those rulers) will be from Quraish.”Sahih Al-Bukhari No. 6756 – Narrated by Jabir bin Samura

Answer: wa `alaykum as-Salam. According to Qadi Iyad in Sharh Sahih Muslim and Ibn Hajar in Fath al-Bari these twelve are the strongest caliphs politically and those that mustered the Ummah’s general agreement even if there was dissent in the process, and Ibn Hajar listed them as:

1-4: The Rightly Guided Caliphs (Allah be well-pleased with them)
5: Mu`awiya (Allah be well-pleased with him)
6: his son, Yazid
7: `Abd al-Malik b. Marwan
8-11: his four sons, Walid, Sulayman, Yazid, Hisham
12: al-Walid b. Yazid b. `Abd al-Malik

May Allah have mercy on them and unite the Ummah under a just Caliph in our time.  Hajj Gibril Haddad http://www.eshaykh.com/hadith/12-imams/

A.  I personally believe it is an innovation to hold such exaggerated views, and that such views contradict Haqiqat.

Shāh Ismā‘īl Dihlawī’s view on this point was the following:

Alī al-Murtadā has also an edge over Abū Bakr as-Siddīq and ‘Umar Fārūq and this edge lies because of the greater number of his followers and all the highest spiritual and saintly activity, from his days to the end of the world, has to be mediated through him, and he has a say in the kingdom of the kings and the leadership of the leaders and this is not hidden from those who are familiar with the world of sovereignty… Most spiritual chains are directly derived from ‘Alī al-Murtadā. So, on the Day of Judgment, ‘Alī’s army including followers of high status and great reputation, will outnumber and outshine others to be a source of wonder for all the spectators.” [The Ghadir Declaration by Dr. Tahir ul-Qadri]

Please refer to these earlier posts to learn more about Mawlana’s position regarding the “invented-Shia” Mahdi, and the Twelve Imams accordingly:

i.   Mawlana Shaykh Nazim: Imam al-Mahdi [as] is the son of Imam Hasan al-Askari [rad]-March 6th, 2011

ii.  Shaykh Nazim: Imam Mahdi’s Helpers believe he is the son of Imam Hasan al-Askari-Jan 16th, 2011

And Allah Knows Best!

    salam
you said”Scholars like Shāh Ismā‘īl Dihlawī believed that Imam ‘Ali ibn Abi Talib (alaihi salam) has an edge over the Shaykhayn; Abu Bakr as-Siddiq and Umar ibn al-Khattab.”

could you provide a reference for this?

Shāh Ismā‘īl Dihlawī has clarified this point:

“Alī al-Murtadā has also an edge over Abū Bakr as-Siddīq and ‘Umar Fārūq and this edge lies because of the greater number of his followers and all the highest spiritual and saintly activity, from his days to the end of the world, has to be mediated through him, and he has a say in the kingdom of the kings and the leadership of the leaders and this is not hidden from those who are familiar with the world of sovereignty… Most spiritual chains are directly derived from ‘Alī al-Murtadā. So, on the Day of Judgment, ‘Alī’s army including followers of high status and great reputation, will outnumber and outshine others to be a source of wonder for all the spectators.” [“The Ghadir Declaration”, by Shaykh ul-Islam Dr. Tahir ul-Qadri. http://www.minhajbooks.com/english/control/btext/bid/248/cid/2/read/txt/%5D

    Bismillah,

Our own Grand shaykh Mujadid Alf Thani Shaykh Ahmed Sirhindi has a whole book of the superiority of Abu Bakr over all other sahaba. Do you disagree with the mujadid stance on such things? This is quite odd. It is also the belief of Mawlana Shaykh Nazim and Mawlana Shaykh Abdullah Daghestani. You drink from their oceans not your own! May Allah guide you.

Aydarus83: 1. Identify yourself and your authority to speak and correct others. Who are you, what is your proper name and who authorized you to correct me?
      2. Before making proud comments without spiritual authority, read the link from khwajagan.org I posted as part of my answer: http://www.khwajagan.org/GoldenChain.html reads: “…yet there is little doubt that he (Khwaja Parsa) considered the Bakri ancestry the most privileged. For Abu Bakr Siddiq (radi Allahu anhu) was the most perfect, most excellent, most splendid and best knowing of the friends of God. Indeed, it was he who, after the passing of the Prophet (salla-llahu ‘alayhi wa sallam) gave ‘Ali (radi Allahu anhu) himself a second spiritual initiation. According to the encyclopaedic Fasl al-Khitab, another of Khwaja Parsa’s works, the Prophet (salla-llahu ‘alayhi wa sallam) gave instruction (talqin) to Abu Bakr (radi Allahu anhu) in the performance of silent dhikr in the cave of Thawr, and thus, made him the first Naqshbandi disciple-practitioner (murid-murshid). ” (http://www.khwajagan.org/GoldenChain.html).

Khwajagan is your website. We speak from the mashrab from our own mashaikh. Who is Shaykh Mawlana Nazima and Shaykh Abdullah Daghestani. Most of our own mashaikh in our own silsila are of the same opinion. Khwaja Parsa although connected to the golden chain is not from the Golden Chain of the Haqqani order as given to us by our Grand Shaykh Shaykh Abdullah Daghestani. Either you agree with your shaykh or say openly you do not.

It is Mawlana Shaykh Nazim’s view that Ahlul Bayt are superior to all of the Sahabah. Hadrat Abu Bakr is the leader of the Sahaba, while Imam ‘Ali is the leader of the Ahlul Bayt. That is the correct position. This is also the opinion of GrandShaykh ‘Abd Allah al-Faiz ad-Daghestani, and all of the other GrandShaykh’s of the Tariqat, even though at times they did not speak on it openly because prior to the fall of the Ottoman Empire, since the earliest generations, to openly hold such views was like to being a supporter of Al Qaeda today. There is much documented evidence that the Banu Hashim, Salman Farsi and Miqdad al-Aswad (from whom GrandShaykh Abd Allah descends) believed the Imam ‘Ali and the Ahlul Bayt were superior to all Sahabah in spiritual rank. This was also the view of Sayyidina Umar who held Imam ‘Ali to be the Mawla of both himself and Sayyidina Abu Bakr al-Siddiq. Both Shaykh Muhammad ibn Yahya an-Ninowi and Shaykh Abdul Qadir Jilani from the UK have lectured on this as well since it is a valid belief from many of the Companions, including Salman Farsi in specific from whom the Tariqat descends.

Imam Rabbani Mujaddid Alf Thani Ahmad as-Sirhindi (qadas Allahu sirrahul ‘aziz) states in the Maktubat Sharif Vol. 1,

“O Brother! Indeed Imam ‘Ali is the holder of the keys of the Sainthood, Wilayah, of the Prophet Muhammad [s] and the training regime for the status of Aqtab, Awtad and Abdaal, who are from amongst the reserved Awliya, is done under the shelter of his Sainthood. The rank of Qutb al-Aqtab, who is the greatest Qutb and the guide and mentor of others, lays under his (‘Ali’s) feet. His orders are issued under the supervision and support of ‘Ali and he performs his duties under the supervision and support of ‘Ali and fulfills his tasks. Sayyida Fatima and both of her sons, the Imams (Hasan and Husayn) share this rank with ‘Ali.” (Maktubat Imam Rabbani, Volume 1:438#251)

That is their real position, and the correct position. I am an authorized Representative of Mawlana Shaykh Nazim and GrandShaykh ‘Abd Allah al-Faiz ad-Daghestani. If you have a problem with this belief like you did regarding the 12th Imam, travel to Mawlana and attempt to refute this position from the platform of the Sufis, you will fail, again like always. Your misbeliever friends also deny the existence of the 12th Imam, and as such have in reality nothing to do with Mawlana, nor the Imam, nor the great Masters of the Golden Chain of the Tariqat i-Khwajagan Naqshband, or the Naqshbandi Tariqat. We learn directly from Mawlana and GrandShaykh, through the Uwaisi method. If you were indeed their follower, you would also be able to learn like that from them. That is the Naqshband Bukhari method. Mawlana specifically stated that the Haqqaniyya is the only living link amongst all Naqshbandi chains because of the presence of Mawlana Khalid Baghdadi and his Grand Khalifa, Shaykh Ismail in the silsilat. Mawlana Khalid Baghdadi memorized the hadith books of the Twelve Imams, and Shaykh Ismael was granted this secret as well. Shaykh Hisham Kabbani, a Khalifa of Imam Mahdi (as) states in the Naqshbandi Sufi Way:

“He (Mawlana Khalid al-Baghdadi) memorized the Books of the Ithna `Ashari (Twelve Imams), the source-books for the knowledge of the descendants of Sayyidina `Ali .

He moved to Baghdad in the year 1228 H./1813 AD. for the second time and he stayed in the school of Ahsa’iyya Isfahaniyyah. He filled it up with the knowledge of Allah and His Remembrance. Then some of the jealous people wrote against him to the Sultan, Sa`id Pasha, governor of Baghdad, criticizing him. They accused him of unbelief and other things that cannot be repeated. When the governor read the letter, he said, “If Shaykh Khalid al-Baghdadi is not a believer, then who is a believer?” He had his envious enemies thrown out of his presence and jailed. (http://www.naqshbandi.org/chain/31.htm)

All of the quotations you bring forth will be regarded as out of context, and as such invalid. Mawlana stated in the past to stay clear from those denying Sufi Tariqats. Today, he is ordering his murids to stop calling themselves Sufis. Throughout his whole blessed life as a GrandShaykh he initiated people into the Naqshbandi tariqat, today he is saying Naqshbandi, Mevlavi, Jilani and all tariqats are finished (by name, not science). You must stop clinging to your own imaginations and egos. There is not a single Hadith you can bring forth in which Sayyidina Abu Bakr and Sayyidna Umar claim to be superior to Imam ‘Ali, but there are numerous sahih ahadith which refer to Imam ‘Ali as the Master of all believers. Are you claiming like the misbelieving Rawafidh that the Shaykhayn were not believers? May Allah protect us! Wa minAllahi tawfiq.
